2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak

The 2015 Ford Ranger is an excellent pick up truck that, unfortunately, will not be available in the United States market. The truck, however is available in 180 other countries around the world which is pretty surprising considering the Ford Motor Company is based in the United States of America. The Wildtrak is not an off-road variant of the popular Ranger truck as many people would think, in fact it is more similar to the Chevy Silverado Z71 or a Ford F-150 FX4. This does not mean that the Wildtrak cannot handle off-road terrain, quite the opposite, the Wildtrak would outperform most recent U.S. trucks with it’s 9″ ground clearance and 31.5″ water wading max. The Wildtrak comes equipped with an electronically controlled transfer case as well as an electronically locking rear differential also help the Wildtrak maintain traction through the toughest environments.

There are two available diesel engines available for the truck, a 2.2 economy engine and a 3.2 power engine, the truck also can tow a maximum of 7,700 pounds with the right set up. That’s quite impressive! All of the features that are available on the regular Ranger models come standard, but ofcourse the Wildtrak offers a bit of extra coolness with a small bed rollbar, some chunky trim pieces, a tow-tone interior and various paint options like “Pride Orange”. So far no pricing options or release date have been announced, but going by the current top-of-the-line four-door Ranger’s price of of around $36,000 this truck could eclipse $40,000.
