The 2013 Ford F-250 will be at the receiving end of some improvements and changes by Ford. The starting price for the 2013 Ford F-250 will be $29,385, but prices will go all the way up to $46,870. Firstly Ford has long since dropped the 5.4 liter V8 since it believes that this engine is not powerful enough for the F-250. Instead the base engine is the 6.2 liter SOHC V8 that develops a meaty 385 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, an overall improvement of 85 hp and 40 lb-ft of torque. Ford has also given the option of a rather big and strong diesel as well. To be precise, Ford has offered a 6.7 liter “Scorpion” turbocharged V8 diesel. The optional diesel is good for 400 hp and a rather Earth-shattering 800 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine has 50 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque more than diesel engine it replaces. Both these engines come with a 6 speed automatic transmission. The 2013 Ford F-250 has a maximum payload capacity of 4,050 lbs and a towing capacity of 12,500 lbs and 16,500 lbs when properly equipped and with a 5th wheel hitch.

The 2013 Ford F-250 standard cab version has seating for three people sitting on a bench while the SuperCab and Crew Cab option are able to seat 5 people, if the front bench seat is opted for that goes up to 6; The Crew Cab is likely more comfortable in the back for most. Ford also gives the option of a 6.75 or an 8 foot long box on all versions except for the regular cab. You can also choose to have 4 wheel drive (4WD) with any version of the F-250.

The interior of the 2013 F-250 features the SYNC connectivity system that allows users to connect their phones or media players with the system using Bluetooth or USB connectivity and play music or make calls using voice control. The F-250 also has an optional and improved MyFord Touch system with an 8 inch screen. Ford says that it has made the new improved system more user friendly for truck drivers.

Ford offers 5 trim levels with the 2013 F-250, namely XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and the all new Platinum trim level. The Platinum trim level is Ford’s top luxury offering with features things such as generous use of chrome on the exterior, a new grille and unique 20 inch polished aluminum wheels. Inside you will find wood grain trim, premium leather seating, heated steering wheel, rearview camera, navigation system and the MyFord Touch system as standard.
